F&B Service Expert - Hostess

Position Overview

At Marriott International, the role of a Food & Beverage Service Expert (Hostess) transcends merely serving meals; it focuses on creating memorable dining experiences complemented by excellent service. This role involves setting tables, liaising with kitchen staff, engaging with guests, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area. The Guest Service Expert’s proactive engagement ensures guest satisfaction throughout their meal.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe and welcoming dining environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication at all times.
• Operate continuously on your feet, managing tasks across various physical conditions such as uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Handle menu management by reading and verifying information accurately.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Engage in repetitive motions including bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching to effectively serve guests.
• Fulfill other reasonable and assigned duties as needed to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• No requirement for previous supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications are necessary.

This full-time position is based on-site at Omar Al Mukhtar Street, Area 61, Al Dafna, Street #850, Doha, Qatar. The work schedule is full-time and requires physical presence at the location.
