Overview

This role sits within Qatar Airways’ Product Development and Design division and supports the improvement of onboard culinary and beverage experiences. The position is focused on contributing to the planning and delivery of premium food and beverage initiatives across the airline’s international network.

You will be part of the Catering Services team, helping coordinate an industry-leading wine and spirits programme while also supporting broader catering projects and service enhancements.

Role Summary

As an F&B Projects Officer, you will assist with the full lifecycle of catering-related projects, including planning, coordination, execution, tracking, and closure. The position requires close collaboration with different functions to keep workstreams aligned with approved plans, governance requirements, quality expectations, and operational standards.

The role also involves reporting, documentation control, stakeholder communication, and risk follow-up, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and structured delivery.

Key Duties

  • Assist in delivering catering projects from start to finish, making sure they follow approved plans and governance expectations.
  • Organize activities, tasks, and interdependencies across teams to keep project work moving smoothly.
  • Monitor milestones, outputs, risks, and issues, and escalate them promptly when action is needed.
  • Keep project records up to date, including schedules, risk registers, action logs, and status updates.
  • Build dashboards, management updates, and executive-level summaries for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Follow project governance rules, internal procedures, and PMO requirements.
  • Support business case preparation for new initiatives and improvements.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and help implement service enhancement projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables that match business goals.
  • Handle additional duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should bring solid project coordination experience and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment. Strong organisation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a practical understanding of project controls and continuous improvement methods.

Qualification and Experience

You should have either a high school or vocational qualification, or a bachelor’s degree, along with at least 4 years of work experience related to project management.

Experience supporting projects, operational initiatives, or coordination-heavy work is important. Background exposure to aviation, hospitality, or large-scale operations will be an advantage.

Additional Skills and Knowledge

Strong capability in analysing information, monitoring KPIs, and preparing clear reports is required. You should also be comfortable using MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Familiarity with project management frameworks or PMO environments is preferred, along with working knowledge of Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methods. Experience using project tracking or reporting tools will also be useful.
