Role overview
Qatar Airways Group is looking for a Manager, Compensation & Benefits to shape, roll out, and continually refine reward programs across Qatar and international locations. This position is responsible for keeping pay and benefits offerings competitive, policy-aligned, compliant, and closely tied to the company’s wider business direction. The role also uses analytics to support better decisions and leads a team of C&B specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment and ongoing delivery of compensation and benefits programs for Qatar and overseas locations, including pay review exercises, while ensuring alignment with HR policy and improving processes over time.
- Advise HR partners and line managers on compensation and benefits topics, and support informed decision-making by building dashboards and analytical reports.
- Lead external benchmarking activities by gathering and interpreting market data, working with consulting firms and industry bodies, and comparing the Group’s total rewards package with appropriate market benchmarks while tracking trends and legal changes.
- Manage compensation and benefits initiatives that support the business strategy, including assistance with works council and union discussions in overseas markets.
- Review how well current reward processes and guidelines are working and recommend improvements where needed.
- Make sure HR policies covering compensation and benefits remain accurate, understandable, and up to date.
- Take an active role in APDC (Airline Personnel Directorate Conference) to stay informed about industry developments and standard practices.
Candidate profile
The role calls for someone with strong expertise in compensation and benefits, solid market benchmarking capability, and experience operating in multinational environments. Exposure to consulting is considered beneficial, and professional accreditation in compensation and benefits is preferred.
