Role overview
Qatar Airways CAMO Supply Chain team is creating a talent pool for upcoming opportunities in this position. The role focuses on day-to-day supply chain transactions and serves as the main point of contact for supply chain support to maintenance operations. You will help source spares, components, and specialized assembly tools needed for aircraft maintenance within Qatar Airways Technical.
Key accountabilities
- Handle aircraft material requisitions by checking pricing catalogs, requesting quotes from approved sources, and negotiating for the most competitive price with the shortest practical delivery time for purchase, loan, or exchange arrangements.
- Raise the appropriate order types, including purchase, exchange, and loan orders, while coordinating with stakeholders such as Technical Materials Planning, MOCC, Engineering, Technical Records, Warranty, Logistics, and Maintenance, and applying the correct GL and CE codes, conditions, and parameters.
- Obtain the required DOA approval based on the full order value before issuing the order to the approved supplier.
- Support supplier evaluation by contributing information on best pricing, fastest delivery lead time, and preferred vendor location.
- Ensure shelf-life items are sourced from fresh stock with at least 80% shelf life remaining.
- Track supplier acknowledgements so they are received within 7 days of order release and continue follow-up to keep overdue orders below 5%.
Candidate profile
- A high school, vocational, or diploma qualification, or an equivalent credential, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of computer systems.
- Ability to interpret parts certification, technical publications, vendor manuals, and TPM documents.
- Familiarity with EASA, FAA, and QCAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
