Role Overview
This role involves joining established production teams to care for domestic poultry on laying farms, working on a 14-day roster to ensure continuous coverage. The primary goal is to maintain the flock’s health and contribute to the production of hygienic, high-quality eggs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate proactively with team members on a rotating roster to provide year-round farm coverage.
- Continuously monitor and uphold excellent flock health standards.
- Engage in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge required for poultry care tasks.
- Adhere strictly to workplace health, safety, quarantine, and bio-security protocols.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment efficiently to optimize bird well-being.
- Oversee feeding and watering systems, performing daily animal husbandry functions.
- Work within various intensive livestock housing systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the working environment.
