Job description
About the Role
The Family Court Coordinator will play a vital role in the efficient functioning of the Family Court by managing specialist services and fostering productive relationships with court management, judiciary members, service providers, legal professionals, court users, and community groups. This role is part of the Domestic Violence Programmes Team, dedicated to the prompt administration of domestic violence interventions under both Family and Criminal Court systems across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Support District Courts nationwide by coordinating domestic violence programmes within Family and Criminal Courts.
- Manage competing priorities effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Maintain strong interpersonal skills to collaborate within teams and with external stakeholders.
- Operate with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
- Interpret and apply relevant Family Court legislation with solid analytical skills.
- Possess a strong commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer literacy and have experience or understanding of Family Court processes and legislation.

Remuneration
The salary range for this permanent full-time position is between $74,634 and $94,591 annually, with actual pay determined by the candidate's skills and experience.
