Role Overview

Aldar Academies is looking for a strong EYFS Teacher to join Al Ain British Academy from August 2026. This role sits within a successful school community and is suited to an educator who can deliver high standards of teaching while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

Key Duties

  • Create a positive classroom environment that supports excellent learning.
  • Plan lessons with clear objectives, strong pacing, suitable challenge, and engaging activities.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners, including students with SEN/POD, EAL, and G&T requirements.
  • Use assessment for learning effectively and apply performance data to guide lesson planning.
  • Integrate ICT to strengthen learning and student progress.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, punctuality, work quality, and homework in line with school policy.
  • Review how well learning goals have been achieved and use findings to improve teaching.
  • Mark student work at least once every two weeks and set progress targets according to school marking expectations.
  • Track and record student progress systematically and use evidence to support planning.
  • Carry out assessments required by the school, department, or external examination bodies.
  • Prepare clear and informative reports for parents.
  • Attend and support parent and student events.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, scheme development, and subject improvement.
  • Work with outside specialists such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists where needed.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification are required. Applicants should also bring at least 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience within the English Curriculum.
