Job description
About the role
EY is looking for two Experienced Hire Recruiters to join the Consulting/Assurance service line in Canada’s Talent Team. This contract role gives you the chance to work in a globally connected environment, helping shape hiring outcomes and contributing directly to the organization’s people strategy.
As part of the Talent Team, you will support end-to-end recruiting, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and help create an excellent candidate journey while hiring directly for EY.
Key responsibilities
You will own recruitment activity for a defined business or sub-service area and handle the process independently from planning through delivery. The role calls for someone who can advise Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers on talent sourcing, market insights, and hiring strategy while representing EY’s culture and brand throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Build practical hiring plans using a solid understanding of recruitment approaches and concepts.
- Create and run sourcing strategies, with strong attention to diversity-focused hiring and creative search methods.
- Use assessment practices to confirm that shortlisted candidates meet both role requirements and EY’s cultural expectations.
- Study the business, labor market, and hiring trends, including key competitors, relevant skill mapping, and maintaining a pool of ready-to-hire candidates.
- Apply knowledge of recruitment systems, processes, and brand positioning throughout the hiring lifecycle.
- Work with the practice team and Canada People Team to support sound hiring decisions through good judgment and strong communication.
What you need to succeed
You should bring strong full-cycle recruiting experience and the confidence to manage key hiring areas with minimal supervision in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
- More than 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in professional services, financial services, or technology environments.
- Demonstrated success in high-volume hiring and sourcing from multiple channels, including headhunting, job boards, and LinkedIn recruitment tools.
- Ability to quickly take ownership of major recruitment accounts.
- Strong understanding of recruitment policies, processes, and protocols, along with a broad view of service lines within the firm.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
- CHRP or a related designation is preferred, and experience in professional services is an advantage.
- French language ability is an asset.
