A strong part of the job is using metrics and business insights to support more efficient operations and long-term, sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • Substantial leadership background in industrial supply, distribution, manufacturing, or a similar industry, including experience leading cross-functional teams and remote operations.
  • Solid expertise in strategic planning, business development, and expansion into private and government markets, with hands-on exposure to bids, contracts, and competitive pricing.
  • Proven ability to improve operational efficiency through logistics oversight, inventory control, process optimization, and supplier performance management.
  • Strong customer-first orientation, with a history of setting service benchmarks, handling key accounts, and improving retention and satisfaction.
  • Financial understanding that includes budgeting, P&L responsibility, revenue growth planning, and performance analysis based on data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills for working with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Comfort and effectiveness in a remote leadership environment, with strong self-management, organization, and digital collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related area; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Experience with government sales workflows, compliance needs, and contract administration is strongly preferred.
  • A commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive leadership, and a respectful, non-discriminatory workplace culture.
