Executive Director - AI Lead of Innovation, Corporate & Investment Banking

About the Role

Wells Fargo seeks an Executive Director to serve as AI Lead of Innovation within its India Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. This leadership position spearheads a high-performing team aligned with the global CIB innovation initiatives, developing transformative AI solutions that drive business strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor digital professionals to devise and implement digital strategies within the CIB business.
• Collaborate and influence key stakeholders and partners to align initiatives and outcomes across business lines.
• Identify opportunities for impactful programs with cross-functional effects beyond the immediate scope.
• Establish strategic actions to address moderate to high risk deliverables within the team.
• Develop policies and procedures for moderately complex functions within assigned areas.
• Engage with all levels of professionals, including senior management and external clients, to advance goals.
• Manage human and financial resources effectively to meet strategic objectives.
• Cultivate a talent development culture to meet evolving business needs and strategies.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in digital product leadership or management roles, demonstrated through relevant experience or education.
• At least 3 years of formal managerial experience.
• Proven expertise in strategic leadership, business transformation, and AI solution lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
• Comprehensive understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking products and asset classes.
• Hands-on experience with AI/Generative AI in the CIB context, including ideation, development, and implementation of business use case-driven projects.
• Experience standardizing AI-driven processes through prompt engineering across organizations.
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML technologies, including use of Langchain, Langgraph, Model Context Protocol for scalable AI architectures.
• Practical experience developing agentic AI solutions for automating complex business functions.
• Expertise with Document Intelligence and Agent platforms to extract insights and enable automation.
• Application of advanced language model techniques such as chunking, data vectorization, hallucination mitigation, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capacity to manage complex projects end-to-end and execute transformative initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Sound decision-making in multifaceted scenarios with ownership mindset.
