Executive Director

About the Role

The Housing Authority of Fort Mill, South Carolina is looking for a responsible and experienced Executive Director to lead the Offices of Affordable Housing. This leadership position involves managing all operations and activities, including oversight of 141 RAD PBRA units, 158 Housing Choice Voucher allocations, and an affiliated non-profit. The non-profit manages low-income properties, including 48 tax credit units and an 811 PRAC program with 14 units, as well as a grant-supported housing program serving approximately 150 families statewide.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and advice to the Board of Commissioners or Directors regarding program performance and policy development.
• Lead daily operational management of all housing programs and initiatives.
• Address personnel matters and ensure organizational compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with governmental officials at all levels.
• Oversee financial operations, including timely reporting and procurement processes.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Financial Management, Social Work, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in financial management and program administration, preferably related to assisted housing and homeownership programs.
• Proven supervisory experience and competence in grant writing and management.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
