Chief Executive Officer - Cleveland Housing Authority

Overview

This leadership position entails comprehensive responsibility for planning, directing, and managing all functions of the Cleveland Housing Authority. The CEO is tasked with guiding the Board of Commissioners in policy development and with designing programs to implement these policies.

Key Duties

• Oversee all segments of Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs
• Manage conversion to RAD program housing
• Develop and monitor annual operating budgets
• Coordinate all staffing and human resources processes
• Lead development of the five-year plan and capital funding strategies

Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of regulations governing Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and leadership
• Experience supervising administrative and maintenance personnel
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication capabilities
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local public housing laws and operational procedures

Accountability

Performance reviews are conducted via annual independent audits, HUD inspections, and evaluations by the Board of Commissioners. These focus on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and fiscal management.
