Eureka 89, located atop Melbourne's Eureka Tower, is a premier venue hosting diverse events ranging from corporate lunches to weddings and private milestones. The venue also features a Chef's Tasting dining room open during the week.

Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and commercially skilled Events Sales Coordinator to join our team in Southbank. This full-time, on-site position requires handling event sales, coordination, and successful delivery for a range of occasions such as weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations. The role entails managing client communications, quote preparation, conversion of leads, collaboration with operational teams, and ensuring superior event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all event inquiries professionally and promptly via phone and email.
- Prepare precise event proposals and quotes while exploring upselling opportunities.
- Work towards achieving sales targets, event volumes, and revenue goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations, kitchen teams, and Attractions and Experiences departments to meet client expectations.
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with clients through multiple channels including site visits.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are confident communicators and natural organizers who excel in dynamic, customer-focused environments. They should thrive in converting inquiries to booked events and foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements
- Diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, or related fields.
- At least one year of experience in direct sales, event coordination, or a similar hospitality-focused role.
- Proven experience working towards sales targets, budget management, and conversion KPIs.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent events and deadlines.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, delivering a professional and client-centric approach.
- A proactive attitude with flexibility to adapt to operational changes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with reservation or event management systems such as SevenRooms and iVvy is highly advantageous.
