Role Overview
The Event Specialist position is an on-site contract role located in Singapore. The primary responsibility is to oversee the coordination and execution of events, spanning planning stages through to post-event activities. This includes managing logistics, vendor relationships, and day-of-event operations. The specialist collaborates directly with clients and internal departments to grasp event requirements, maintain schedules, and deliver outstanding attendee experiences. Daily duties involve preparing event materials, supporting promotional efforts, addressing inquiries, monitoring budgets, and providing hands-on assistance during events such as registration, setup, and troubleshooting. The role demands flexibility to work event hours and aptitude for managing multiple tasks simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
Key Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for participant engagement and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Competence in event planning and marketing to organize logistics, coordinate vendors, and assist in promotional activities that increase attendee participation.
- Basic sales capabilities to aid event-related sales initiatives, upsell services when suitable, and support lead generation and conversion during the events.
- Strong organizational skills and time management, emphasizing accuracy, problem-solving, and multitasking under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard office software and event-related tools such as spreadsheets, presentation programs, and registration platforms; familiarity with social media is advantageous.
- Ability to work on location in Singapore, including availability for evenings or weekends based on event schedules.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, marketing, or customer-facing positions is preferred. Relevant diplomas or degrees in event management, business, or communications are considered a plus.
