About the Role
Join our Stilwell, OK frozen desserts facility within the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department as a full-time EHS Specialist. Reporting primarily to the EHS Manager, with support from the Manufacturing Manager and site leadership, this position plays a vital role in maintaining safe working conditions and compliance with industry standards.
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting hourly wage: $20.50
- Additional $1.50 shift differential for 6 PM to 6 AM shifts
- Shift: 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM) with some flexibility

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect machinery and processes to ensure adherence to health and safety standards
- Oversee contractor compliance with safety policies
- Monitor production lines to enforce safety regulations among workers
- Deliver daily safety training for new hires and ongoing sessions on weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly schedules
- Conduct environmental inspections as directed
- Perform machinery and environment assessments measuring noise, heat, vibration, and document findings thoroughly
- Ensure workers have appropriate protective equipment such as ear protection, gloves, and protective clothing
- Investigate hazardous work procedures, accidents, and complaints
- Contribute as a member of Confined Space Entry Team and Hazardous Materials Response Team
Qualifications
- High school diploma minimum
- At least one year experience in production settings with a keen interest in workplace safety
- Proficient with personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to foster a safe and productive environment
- Ability to interpret and follow safety guidelines, operating and maintenance manuals, and compose routine reports
- Capability to learn and utilize safety management computer systems; bilingual skills are advantageous
- Compliance with USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and internal regulations including GMPs and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods
- Comfortable working across varied temperatures and proximate to moving machinery requiring use of PPE such as bump caps, safety glasses, ear plugs, nets, gloves, and safety footwear
