Job description

Role overview

This position supports the event centre by keeping public-facing and back-of-house spaces clean, orderly, and presentable. The role helps create a welcoming impression for guests and coworkers while handling day-to-day housekeeping duties in line with site standards, safety practices, and established procedures.

Grey Eagle Resort & Casino is a busy entertainment venue located on the Tsuut’ina First Nation in Calgary, Alberta. The workplace is fast-moving and energetic, and the team is seeking motivated people who can contribute to a positive, service-focused environment.

Key duties

  • Clean and maintain public spaces, washrooms, staff areas, administrative offices, and any other assigned locations within the event centre.
  • Respond politely and professionally to guest needs, special requests, and issues as they arise.
  • Help maintain a neat, safe, and high-quality appearance throughout the facility.
  • Follow all safety requirements, workplace policies, and cleaning procedures while performing assigned tasks.
  • Work in coordination with the team while also being able to complete tasks independently when needed.

Experience and qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent work-related background is required. Previous cleaning experience is preferred, with at least 2 years seen as an advantage. Experience with carpet and window cleaning would be beneficial. WHIMIS knowledge and biohazard cleanup experience are also considered assets.

Working conditions

This is a physically active role in a busy, high-volume environment. The work may involve repetitive movement and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Availability is needed for rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional information

The employer offers competitive pay, benefits, and career growth opportunities. Candidates should note that only selected applicants will be contacted for an interview, and phone calls are not accepted. Priority consideration will be given to Tsuut’ina Nation members.
