Job description
Role overview
We are seeking an experienced communications leader to steer European messaging for an organization working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The role focuses on building visibility, safeguarding reputation, and turning complex technical work into stories that are relevant to varied audiences across multiple European markets.
This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner company, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The position is based in the United Kingdom and is fully remote, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe.
What you will do
- Design and deliver region-wide communications plans that improve brand recognition and reinforce reputation across Europe.
- Drive media relations activity, including outreach to press, media briefings, announcements, interviews, spokesperson preparation, and reputation-focused support.
- Develop and sustain relationships with journalists, editors, event organizers, researchers, and other influential figures across the region.
- Localize communications approaches to fit the cultural, political, and social context of different European markets.
- Partner with teams across marketing, product, research, engineering, legal, policy, partnerships, and safety to keep messaging aligned.
- Prepare executive-level materials such as talking points, FAQs, press releases, partnership news, investment updates, and expansion announcements.
- Coordinate regional speaking opportunities, award submissions, executive visibility, and company-led events alongside global communications teams.
- Track industry developments and shape stories that explain technical innovations in a clear, engaging way for broad audiences.
Experience and skills needed
This role calls for a senior communications professional with at least 7 years of background in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, either in agencies or in fast-growing technology companies. Success in the role depends on a strong network of trusted media contacts across Europe, a solid grasp of both established and new media channels, and the ability to make highly technical or scientific topics understandable and compelling. You should also bring excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills, along with experience creating executive communications.
Strong organizational ability is important, as the work involves managing several priorities at once, staying detail-oriented, and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment. The role also requires comfort working across technical and business teams, independent decision-making in a distributed remote setting, and a strategic, problem-solving mindset.
Benefits and working environment
- Competitive compensation aligned to experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
- Remote setup with the ability to work from anywhere in Europe.
- Chance to collaborate with experts in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
- High-ownership position with meaningful influence over regional communications strategy.
- Supportive, international, and innovation-focused team culture.
- Inclusive workplace that values diversity, equity, and equal opportunity.
- Professional development and growth opportunities within a fast-scaling organization.
