Overview
This position, based in the United States and offered by a partner company, focuses on leading the transformation of English Language Arts (ELA) literacy instruction through the integration of artificial intelligence with high-quality instructional materials and evidence-based educator support. The role involves designing and scaling innovative instructional approaches to empower teachers in delivering rigorous and impactful ELA learning experiences. Operating at the intersection of education, technology, adult learning, and systemic change, the position offers the opportunity to influence instructional practices on a broad scale. Collaboration spans educators, school leaders, instructional coaches, researchers, and product teams to develop solutions that enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a scalable AI-driven ELA instructional model that helps educators provide standards-aligned, high-quality literacy teaching.
- Lead pilot initiatives, prototype developments, and innovation projects by setting learning objectives, gathering data, analyzing results, and refining methods accordingly.
- Work closely with teachers, coaches, school administrators, and internal groups to translate educational vision into effective classroom application.
- Ensure the integrity of curriculum by leveraging deep knowledge of ELA content, including Science of Reading principles and quality instructional materials.
- Enhance educator skills through professional development that improves curriculum execution, teaching practice, and instructional consistency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in instruction, technology, research, product management, and coaching to develop cohesive, sustainable educational solutions.
- Use both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify trends, assess impact, and continuously improve teaching strategies.
- Contribute to organizational learning by sharing expertise and shaping future AI-based education initiatives.
Qualification Requirements
- At least eight years of combined experience in ELA instruction including a minimum of five years teaching and three years in instructional leadership, coaching, or professional learning roles.
- Proven track record in supporting educators' adoption and adaptation of high-quality instructional materials.
- Strong expertise in ELA pedagogy with knowledge of Science of Reading and standards-aligned instruction.
- Experience with high-quality ELA instructional materials; familiarity with HMH Into Literature preferred.
- Skilled in designing and leading professional learning initiatives that enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Competence in leading pilot programs, evidence evaluation, and making data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency in AI tools and the ability to interpret AI insights to support instructional design and educator coaching.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship-building capabilities with educators, leadership, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel moderately for retreats, programs, professional development, and related activities.

Benefits and Compensation
- Annual base salary range from $103,649 to $140,231, with a standard starting salary of $121,940 for candidates meeting minimum criteria; adjustments possible based on experience.
