About the Role

A prominent electrical contracting and consulting firm is looking to hire a dedicated Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) Officer for a permanent position. This role entails developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS and Quality policies and procedures aligned with ISO standards, ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple sites nationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce EHS and Quality management systems, including conducting risk assessments, audits, and adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 frameworks.
  • Offer professional EHS guidance to managers and staff across several locations.
  • Organize and execute EHS and Quality-oriented training sessions, inductions, safety meetings, and site audits; act as the company’s representative during client inspections and audits.
  • Maintain compliance with PSDP and PSCS standards by executing corrective measures and promoting ongoing enhancements.
  • Keep accurate records of employee training, subcontractor compliance documents, and maintain relevant registers.
  • Assist in preparing essential EHS and Quality documentation required for major tender submissions, including SAQs, QW2/QW3 forms, and PSDP/PSCS compliance files.
  • Conduct site compliance monitoring and audits while mentoring employees and subcontractors to strengthen the safety culture.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a third-level qualification in Health and Safety or an allied field.
  • Between three to five years of professional experience in a comparable role, preferably in utilities, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
  • Familiarity with ESBN standards, Sign, Lighting and Guarding protocols, and experience with contractors under PSCS and PSDP designations is an advantage.
  • Holding a Manual Handling Instructor certification is desirable.
  • A full, clean driving license is mandatory.
