Job Purpose
The primary goal of this position is to deliver safe, fundamental nursing care in line with the defined Scope of Practice.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide essential nursing care collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Recognize, prevent, and report risks to maintain patient safety at all times.
- Enhance patient experience by supporting the creation of a therapeutic and positive care environment.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of all nursing interventions performed.
- Engage in initiatives that foster a learning atmosphere aimed at improving staff competence.
- Ensure accurate recording and management of utilized medical stock and equipment.
Educational Qualifications
- Mandatory: Higher certificate in nursing or an equivalent qualification.
- Preferred: Ongoing professional development courses focusing on specific specialities.
Experience Requirements
- Essential: No prior experience required.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience following qualification.
Necessary Job Skills and Knowledge
- Infection prevention and control practices.
- Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of nursing regulations, including Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives.
- Awareness of relevant nursing legislation.
- Knowledge of the scientific nursing process and risk identification techniques.
- Competence in nursing procedures and patient observation.
