Role Overview
The English (US) Audio QA Annotation Specialist is charged with remotely reviewing and validating English (US) audio samples to ensure the recordings align with the stringent quality standards necessary for AI speech recognition and audio annotation initiatives.
Primary Duties
- Examine English (US) audio samples for quality, correct pronunciation, clarity, and natural delivery.
- Confirm accuracy of annotations and ensure recordings conform to project specifications and standards.
- Detect audio issues such as background noise, technical flaws, pronunciation mistakes, or inconsistency.
- Offer structured critiques and suggest improvements when audio does not meet quality benchmarks.
- Maintain uniformity in annotated datasets by adhering to QA protocols and assessment methods.
- Cooperate with reviewers and annotation teams to uphold high-quality multilingual datasets.
- Document review results and quality assurance reports accurately.
- Contribute to enhancing AI speech recognition models through thorough audio validation.
Candidate Profile
- Native-level fluency in English (US) with superior listening and pronunciation skills.
- At least one year of relevant experience in audio QA, annotation, localization, transcription review, voice-over, dubbing, ADR, or linguistic quality control roles.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to detect pronunciation, fluency, and audio quality problems precisely.
- Deep understanding of American English linguistics, regional accents, grammar, and natural speech patterns.
- Proven experience assessing audio recordings and applying quality criteria consistently.
- Preferably familiar with audio editing or playback tools.
- Strong analytical abilities with skills to deliver clear, actionable quality feedback.
- Capable of working independently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
