Role Overview
The English (US) Audio QA Annotation Specialist contributes to the development of sophisticated AI speech technologies by meticulously reviewing, assessing, and validating English (US) audio recordings. As part of a multilingual quality assurance team, this role ensures that audio submissions comply with stringent quality standards related to pronunciation, clarity, fluency, and annotation conformity.
Responsibilities
- Assess English (US) audio clips for accuracy in pronunciation, clarity, fluency, and natural speech delivery.
- Validate annotation precision and ensure adherence to project-specific guidelines and quality benchmarks.
- Detect audio imperfections such as background disturbances, inconsistencies, pronunciation flaws, or technical faults.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback on quality deficiencies with suggestions for enhancement.
- Maintain consistency across datasets by following established quality assurance processes and criteria.
- Collaborate with reviewers and annotation personnel to uphold high-quality multilingual audio data.
- Document review results and quality assurance observations thoroughly.
- Support ongoing improvements to AI speech recognition models through diligent audio validation.
Qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in US English with superior listening skills and comprehensive knowledge of pronunciation.
- At least one year of experience in audio quality assurance, audio annotation, localization, transcription review, voice-over, dubbing, ADR, or comparable language quality roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with an aptitude for identifying pronunciation, fluency, and audio quality issues.
- Strong familiarity with American English linguistic subtleties, including regional accents, grammar, and conversational patterns.
- Experience consistently applying quality standards when reviewing audio content.
- Preferably experienced with audio editing or playback software.
- Analytical mindset capable of delivering clear, actionable quality feedback.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and quality objectives.
