English (US) Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert

Overview

This is a remote contract role for an English (US) Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert. The position pays $50 per hour and typically involves 10 to 40 hours of work each week. The work centers on reviewing, transcribing, and improving English audio and video outputs with a strong focus on quality, clarity, and adherence to detailed instructions.

What You’ll Do

• Transcribe and refine English (US) audio and video material while following specific constraints and task instructions.
• Create polished written deliverables in English that are accurate, easy to understand, and formatted correctly.
• Define what strong responses should look like in consumer audio use cases and build evaluation rubrics around those standards.
• Test prompts in language models, review the generated responses, and give clear, structured suggestions for improvement.
• Support quality assurance review cycles, help maintain output standards, and clear up any task ambiguities.

Required Background

• Excellent writing, editing, and analytical thinking abilities.
• Deep familiarity with spoken American English, including regional accents and vocabulary differences.
• Capability to transcribe and interpret English audio accurately across everyday consumer settings.
• Applicants with studies or experience in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, or related disciplines are preferred.
