Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join full time, based onsite in Cataiñgan, Bicol Region. This role involves preparing and delivering engaging English lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking tailored to various learning levels. The teacher will assess students, give constructive feedback, keep accurate records of attendance and progress, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment aligned with the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans for effective English language instruction.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and oral communication.
- Evaluate student progress and provide meaningful feedback for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of learner attendance and performance.
- Adapt materials to suit different learning levels and needs.
- Collaborate with local leaders, families, and community partners to support educational activities.
- Organize learning workshops and community educational sessions.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
Requirements
- Proven competency in English teaching and general educational methods.
- Ability to plan structured and age-appropriate lesson content.
- Strong communication skills for clear instruction and community collaboration.
- Background in English, Education or related discipline preferred, with some experience in teaching or tutoring.
- Patience, cultural sensitivity, and classroom management skills in community settings.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Cataiñgan and willingness to engage in community programs.
