We are seeking an English (New Zealand) Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert for a contract engagement. This remote role involves contributing 10 to 20 hours each week with a compensation rate of $50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe and refine audio and video content in New Zealand English, ensuring clarity and strict adherence to established guidelines.
• Create and document evaluation criteria, including detailed rubrics and grading standards specific to New Zealand English.
• Perform model testing and grading tasks, offering feedback to enhance AI model accuracy in local audio contexts.
• Participate in benchmarking and quality assurance efforts to uphold dataset consistency and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with project leaders to resolve ambiguities and improve task frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent writing, editing, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines.
• Native or near-native proficiency in New Zealand English, with familiarity of regional vocabulary and Māori influences.
• Commitment to dedicating 10 to 20 hours weekly to this project.

Preferred Background

• College students or recent graduates are welcome.
• Academic background in linguistics, humanities, or social sciences favors candidacy.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or content localization is advantageous.
• A strong interest in artificial intelligence and language model development is valued.
