Part-time Graphic Designer - Remote (San Francisco, CA)

Overview

Thuma, a modern design firm specializing in furniture and home goods, is seeking a skilled and ambitious Graphic Designer. The role demands a refined aesthetic focusing on minimalism and sophistication, along with a passion for impactful branding and marketing. Located at Thuma's headquarters in San Francisco's historic Presidio, the position requires 3-5 days onsite weekly but offers remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling marketing collateral including emails, social media graphics, digital advertisements, and print materials that align with brand standards.
• Collaborate closely with the brand team to ensure uniform visual identity across all platforms.
• Work alongside the Design Director and cross-functional groups to deliver creative assets for web, advertisements, emails, social media, and digital campaigns.
• Take ownership of design projects from initial concept to final launch, assuring quality and consistency.
• Generate innovative, brand-aligned creative content for growth marketing initiatives including static and animated ads, email campaigns, and social media visuals.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Present design proposals, explain creative reasoning, and adapt based on feedback from team and stakeholders.
• Maintain and advance the company’s design guidelines to ensure scalability and uniformity across creative outputs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional design experience in agencies or in-house roles, supported by a diverse, high-quality portfolio.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma; familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools for image generation and production acceleration.
• Experience with motion design and software such as After Effects is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership capabilities including mentoring other creatives.
• Keen artistic sensibility and meticulous attention to detail balancing creativity and execution.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while maintaining enthusiasm in a dynamic setting.
• Proactive problem-solver identifying project and workflow improvements independently.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to confidently advocate design decisions and incorporate feedback.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between $75,000 and $85,000, variable by experience and location.
