Job description
Role Overview
This is a remote, hourly contractor position focused on reviewing English-language AI outputs and, where needed, creating expert-level language content. The work centers on judging the quality of reasoning, checking step-by-step edits, and giving clear, actionable feedback that helps improve model performance.
You will evaluate responses for accuracy, clarity, and prompt compliance; spot issues in logic, meaning, methodology, and conceptual understanding; verify facts when necessary; produce strong explanations and corrected versions that demonstrate the right approach; and compare multiple AI answers based on correctness and reasoning quality.
The company is an AI data services provider that supplies training data to major AI companies and foundation-model teams. Your language expertise will contribute directly to making AI outputs more accurate, natural, and easy to understand.
There is no active project attached to this role at the moment. If you are a strong fit, you may be contacted first when relevant opportunities become available, and you may also gain access to future projects through the expert network.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant has a bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline. A minimum of C1 English is required, while C2 or native-level English is preferred. Professional ability in at least one additional language is a strong advantage.
You should be confident working with grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse flow, and style adjustments across different writing registers. The role also requires a sharp eye for detail, especially when identifying ambiguity, meaning shifts, inconsistencies, and subtle mistakes, along with the ability to explain corrections clearly in writing.
Experience working with style guides and maintaining consistency in tone, terminology, punctuation, and capitalization is important. You must also be dependable, self-managed, and comfortable delivering high-quality work in an hourly remote contractor setup across time zones.
Prior exposure to AI data training or annotation, editorial QA, localization QA, or professional copyediting is strongly preferred. Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar platforms is also expected.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality prompts on a range of topics and craft responses that support AI training and learning.
Review, score, and compare AI-generated answers to improve accuracy, fluency, and contextual fit.
Check AI outputs for factual issues, weaknesses in reasoning, and potential bias, then validate reliability across different use cases.
Additional Information
This is an hourly remote contractor engagement. No immediate assignment is available, but suitable candidates may be considered for upcoming projects through the expert network.
Terms and Conditions
The role is structured as a contract position rather than a permanent hire. Work is remote, and collaboration may occur across multiple time zones.
Working Style
Consistency, independence, and strong writing quality are essential. The role relies on precise judgment, clear written feedback, and disciplined attention to detail.
