Role overview
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Native Australian English dubbing artist to contribute voice recordings for AI and machine learning work. The role involves delivering clean, expressive audio for different scripts, speaking styles, and emotional tones while closely following project directions.
What you will do
- Read and record scripts with precise pronunciation, a natural flow, and the tone requested for each task.
- Shift comfortably between different speaking styles, emotions, and character-driven deliveries when needed.
- Adhere to recording instructions, pronunciation rules, and script-specific guidance.
- Produce audio that is technically sound, with no distracting background noise or recording defects.
- Check your recordings for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before handing them in.
- Work to assigned deadlines and output targets.
- Flag unclear scripts, technical problems, or any recording difficulties to the project team.
- Keep a professional approach and consistent quality across all submitted recordings.
What we are looking for
- Native or near-native fluency in Australian English.
- Strong vocal control with clear articulation and accurate pronunciation.
- Ability to adjust pace, tone, emotion, and delivery style according to project needs.
- Good reading comprehension and the ability to interpret scripts correctly.
- A dependable internet connection and access to a quiet place to record.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using online recording tools.
- Self-directed working style with the discipline to follow detailed instructions.
Preferred background
- Experience in voice acting, voice-over, podcasting, broadcasting, or other audio-related work is advantageous.
- Prior recording experience for AI, speech recognition, audiobooks, gaming, or media projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with audio recording and editing software is beneficial.
- Access to professional-grade recording tools, including a quality microphone and a sound-treated space, is preferred.
