Role overview
APM is hiring an Employment Consultant for its Port Macquarie, New South Wales location under the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. This position is focused on helping people with disability prepare for, secure, and keep meaningful employment that can improve their independence and quality of life.

What you will do
You will work with participants with disability to help them prepare for employment, identify suitable roles, and maintain sustainable work.
Your work will include building confidence, highlighting strengths, helping participants work through challenges, and supporting them as they begin new jobs.
You will also develop creative responses to employment barriers, promote inclusive hiring, advocate for workplace adjustments, and celebrate each successful outcome along the way.
In addition, you will build strong relationships with employers and organisations that value diversity and inclusion, creating more opportunities for participants to succeed.
Working conditions and additional information
This is a full-time onsite position based in Port Macquarie, NSW. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia, hold a current driver’s licence, and have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle. A Standard MyGovID is required, along with willingness to complete a National Police Check and the ability to pass a Working with Children Check.
