Overview
Our partner company, based in Germany, is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to join their dynamic retention marketing team. This role focuses on crafting impactful strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention across various digital channels. As part of the team, you will design, optimize, and expand CRM campaigns that boost customer lifetime value by leveraging marketing automation platforms and collaborating cross-functionally with product, analytics, design, and technology teams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement omnichannel CRM strategies utilizing Email, SMS, Push Notifications, In-App, and On-site messaging to drive customer engagement.
- Create and manage customer journeys, lifecycle campaigns, and automated trigger-based workflows.
- Operate CRM platforms and marketing automation tools for scalable and personalized user interactions.
- Conduct audience segmentation, automate rules, and optimize campaigns through data-driven insights.
- Prepare content needs, design email templates, and tailor communications for multiple channels and devices.
- Track and analyze CRM metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, retention, lifetime value, and deliverability.
- Run A/B tests and continuously refine campaign effectiveness by experimenting with messaging and formats.
- Maintain sender reputation, optimize deliverability processes, and ensure the health of the subscriber database.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver effective customer communication solutions.
- Keep thorough documentation, reporting, and adhere to CRM marketing best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Practical experience utilizing direct communication channels including Email, SMS, Web Push, On-site, and In-App notifications.
- Expertise with CRM automation platforms such as Customer.io, Smartico, Fast Track, Braze, or Iterable.
- Proven ability in designing lifecycle marketing campaigns, trigger scenarios, mass outreach, segmentation, and personalized flows.
- In-depth knowledge of email marketing including campaign optimization, dynamic content creation, and template management.
- Competence with design and email production tools like Figma and Stripo.
- Understanding of email development techniques using HTML/CSS, MJML, and AMP for Email.
- Familiarity with email deliverability concepts such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC protocols, domain warming, and sender reputation maintenance.
- Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating campaigns through metrics like open rates, CTR, conversion rates, deliverability, and experience with A/B testing.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective teamwork across multiple departments.
- Experience in iGaming, customer retention, or handling large-scale digital products is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Smartico or Fast Track platforms is a plus.
