Role Overview
This full-time, on-site role based in Cork involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across varied settings including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Key duties include interpreting technical drawings, diagnosing faults through troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards, and conducting routine inspections.
The electrician will also be responsible for documenting completed work, collaborating effectively with team members and site management, communicating clearly with clients when needed, maintaining tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness, and contributing to a safe, well-organized worksite.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong practical electrical skills with an emphasis on safe work practices.
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of electrical installations and devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and develop safe, effective solutions.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to site installation and repairs.
- Possession of relevant trade qualifications, an apprenticeship, or certification recognized within Ireland.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work safely in different environments while using correct personal protective equipment and procedures.
- Good communication skills, reliability, and capacity to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driving license with willingness and ability to travel to various sites throughout Cork and surrounding areas.
