About the Role

Join the dedicated team at the newly opened Princedale Road nursery under Pippa Pop-ins, a respected independent nursery group. This position is for qualified Early Years Educators who are passionate about providing outstanding care and education to children aged 0 to 5 years. The role is term-time only, offering 40 to 45 hours per week, with part-time options available at pro-rated salary.

Key Duties

  • Deliver high-quality care and educational activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Design and implement stimulating and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment that facilitates children's growth and wellbeing.
  • Observe and assess individual children's development and promptly recognize any concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to address each child's unique needs.
  • Keep detailed records of children's progress and development milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies to protect all children in the nursery setting.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the nursery environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent recognized early years certification.
  • Proven experience within a nursery or childcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and practical application.
  • Patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to working with young children.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPR qualification preferred.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding regulations and relevant legislation governing childcare.
