About the Role
Harmony Early Education is launching a brand-new centre in Albany Creek, Queensland, set to open in 2026, featuring modern, state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster educational excellence. We are inviting passionate Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) to join our founding team and help cultivate an environment rich in curiosity, connection, and quality early learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead your classroom with deliberate, play-enriched and inquiry-driven teaching.
- Advocate for children’s rights, voices, cultures, and identities in all educational moments.
- Plan, observe, assess, and document children's learning with intention and depth.
- Build respectful and nurturing relationships with children and their families.
- Collaborate closely with Educational Leaders and fellow educators to optimize outcomes.
- Create imaginative and stimulating learning spaces that inspire and provoke thought and joy.
- Integrate Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) principles into curriculum delivery.
- Support smooth transitions, school readiness, and continuity of learning for children.
- Exemplify professionalism through reflective practice and ethical decision-making.
Who You Are
- Holder of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Certified completion of the National Child Safety Training (via Geccko) with current certification.
- In-depth understanding of EYLF v2.0, QKLG, and contemporary pedagogical approaches.
- Passionate advocate for intentional, play-based, and inquiry-focused teaching methods.
- Reflective, collaborative, curious educator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to child and cultural safety, creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments that celebrate diversity.
- Possess a warm, engaging demeanor that naturally attracts and comforts children.
Working Environment and Location
The new centre will serve up to 120 children aged from birth to five years and will operate between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. Located at 23-33 Wruck Crescent, Albany Creek, QLD, it offers a contemporary, thoughtfully designed learning space that supports intentional education and meaningful play.
