Job description
Role Overview
Repco is a trusted and established name in the automotive sector, and this role offers the chance to join a growing business with strong training, support, and experienced colleagues. As a Duty Manager / Senior Retail Assistant in Papamoa, your main purpose is to make sure every customer enjoys a smooth and positive in-store experience.
You will guide customers to the right products, recommend suitable options where appropriate, help drive sales through upselling, and complete transactions at the register. In addition, you will be responsible for key-holding duties, including opening and closing the store, and you will lead the shift on Saturdays.
Working Hours
This position is scheduled for Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, which totals 40 hours per week.
Key Duties
- Keep safety front of mind for yourself, your colleagues, and customers at all times.
- Deliver friendly, genuine service that creates a memorable customer experience.
- Use strong customer service skills to support strong sales outcomes.
- Keep the showroom tidy, well presented, and merchandised to a high standard.
- Handle stock processes such as receiving, dispatching, and storage.
- Work cooperatively with the team and help build a positive workplace culture.
Experience and Skills
This is a customer-facing retail role, so you should enjoy working with people and already be confident in customer service. Previous experience in retail or a similar service environment is preferred, though full product training will be provided. An interest in automotive products would be an advantage.
You should be comfortable working in a sales environment, dealing with different types of customers, and communicating clearly in person and over the phone. A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to work well with others are important for success in this role.
