Role Overview
This position demands a proactive and energetic professional passionate about aviation operations. The Duty Manager will be central to airport operations, managing and coordinating all ground handling duties during their shift to guarantee the safe, timely, and effective turnaround of flights.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal operational authority on duty, ensuring compliance with airline policies, regulatory mandates, and client service standards.
- Lead and manage the ground operations team, facilitating coordination among internal departments and external partners.
- Develop and implement solutions promptly to tackle operational disturbances, disruptions, and recovery scenarios.
- Act as the primary liaison between airport service providers and users to maintain adherence to safety and security protocols.
- Offer continuous recommendations and insights to improve daily operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Candidate Profile
- A degree holder with a minimum of five years in aviation ground operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge in areas such as Departure Control System (DCS), weight and balance calculations, ramp handling, hazardous materials regulations, industry and safety standards, and best practices in ground handling.
- Preferred candidates possess certifications like IATA, ICAO, or ACI related to Aviation, Airport Operations, or Management.
