Role Overview

This position focuses on managing and improving requirement structures in IBM DOORS, ensuring consistent module organization, naming standards, and template quality across the project. The role also involves supporting engineers and designers with tool usage, linking practices, and process-related questions.

Compensation and Working Conditions

The annual salary range for this role is €58,000 to €65,000. The standard working time is 40 hours per week. Employment is permanent. Mobile working is possible by arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain DOORS modules for all specifications in line with the System Breakdown Structure.
  • Apply configuration-compliant naming rules and set up link structures between modules.
  • Standardize terminology and document naming throughout the project.
  • Develop and refine requirement specification templates, including equipment specification templates.
  • Check existing templates such as HC SSS and SSDD, and confirm they work correctly.
  • Roll out updated templates to all relevant system folders.
  • Improve compliance matrix templates, including program and HC SSS compliance matrices.
  • Remove inconsistencies and make templates clearer and easier to use for all stakeholders.
  • Test and verify all changes implemented in DOORS.
  • Serve as the main contact for engineers and designers on DOORS templates and their application.
  • Assist users with questions about requirement traceability, module setup, and DOORS best practices.

Required Profile

  • A degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field; alternatively, relevant vocational training paired with hands-on experience in requirements management.
  • Practical experience with IBM DOORS.
  • Good understanding of requirements engineering and system decomposition structures such as SBS.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and harmonizing templates and specifications.
  • A structured, accurate, and detail-focused working style.
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly and support different stakeholders.
  • Comfortable acting as a point of contact for tool- and process-related issues.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
