About the role

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity sits within the fundraising team and focuses on strengthening relationships with donors. The position is centred on service, engagement, and retention, helping supporters stay connected to the organisation’s mission and continue their fundraising support.

Key responsibilities

  • Run donor retention initiatives that build trust, loyalty, and long-term supporter relationships.
  • Have purposeful conversations with donors to encourage continued giving and sustained involvement.
  • Track retention results, review performance data, and spot ways to improve outcomes.
  • Guide and coach callers so they can provide a high-quality donor experience.
  • Handle donor questions and more complex concerns with courtesy, care, and professionalism.
  • Work closely with fundraising colleagues to improve supporter engagement and overall campaign success.

About you

You are someone who enjoys building relationships, working toward measurable goals, and creating positive experiences for people. You communicate clearly, stay calm in a busy environment, and are confident leading conversations that influence donor retention. You are also comfortable using data to identify opportunities and support continuous improvement.

  • Experience working toward targets and key performance indicators.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building ability.
  • Confidence in coaching, supporting, and influencing others.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
