Role overview
An opening is available for a Document Controller on a major data centre project in Dublin 15. The position plays an important part in keeping a busy construction site running smoothly by managing project records accurately and in line with company procedures.
Key duties
- Make sure all project documents follow company requirements and the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Share, monitor, and track documents so the right people can access the latest versions of drawings, schedules, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and reports.
- Keep project trackers current, including the document register, RFI register, action log, and issue log.
- Review information from different logs and prepare concise summaries, especially for unresolved actions and overdue items.
- Create routine status reports to support project monitoring, including document updates and overdue-item reports.
- Maintain proper document storage and version control in line with project document control procedures.
- Work with external consultants and contractors to confirm their submissions meet project standards.
- Assist with QA, QC, and HSE activities by supporting audits and maintaining compliance-related documentation.
Skills and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role on site.
- Strong spoken and written English skills are required.
- Good organisational ability and strong people skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially across Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with knowledge-sharing platforms is an advantage.
