Subdued is a rapidly expanding European fashion brand establishing a presence in the U.S. market, focusing on trend-forward, effortless style. As part of our growth, we seek a pioneering District Manager to help build our brand and operations in North America.

Role Overview

This position involves overseeing the operations of our initial stores in New York, expanding to new locations including Florida, and shaping the company's retail footprint across the United States. This hands-on leadership role demands travel, team building, process development, and collaboration with executive management to ensure operational and cultural excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Store Managers to achieve strong business outcomes and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Build engaged and high-performing teams aligned with brand standards and culture.
• Identify, coach, and nurture emerging leaders through succession planning and performance management.
• Monitor sales and profitability metrics, implement corrective plans to enhance performance.
• Ensure consistency in operations including inventory management, loss prevention, and compliance with company policies.
• Conduct frequent store visits to provide actionable coaching and feedback.
• Assist with new store openings including recruitment and launch activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support scalable growth in operational processes.
• Maintain superior visual merchandising standards and exceptional customer service aligned with the Subdued brand.
• Be flexible to travel extensively as required by the expansion strategy.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 2 to 5 years of experience leading multiple retail units, ideally within fashion or specialty retail sectors.
• Proven success coaching and developing Store Managers to high performance.
• Capability to adapt in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Business acumen in analyzing sales and operational data to drive improvements.
• Willingness for frequent travel within New York and other expanding markets in the U.S.
• Motivated to play a vital role in growing a rapidly expanding business and its team.
