Role Summary
Join Boots UK as a key member of the pharmacy team within a store environment, helping to support pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and efficient pharmaceutical care. This position involves direct engagement with patients, ensuring prescriptions are dispensed accurately and that customers receive informed advice about their medication and health.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, managing medicine ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection safely.
- Collaborate with healthcare colleagues in-store to support pharmacy service management and delivery.
- Provide medication guidance to patients and escalate inquiries to the pharmacist as necessary.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee safety and legal compliance in dispensing.
- Stay informed on new pharmacy innovations and comply with operational protocols.
- Assist patients in managing repeat prescriptions effectively to improve adherence and minimize waste.
- Embrace advancing in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes and patient interaction.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Possess an NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification or equivalent, or be actively pursuing an MPharm degree with at least one completed year.
- Have verified current legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available.
- Community pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
