About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and well-organized Dispatch, Logistics, and Administrative Team Member for our Hudson Trade Centre Mitre 10 store located in Kirrawee, NSW. In this dynamic full-time role, you will facilitate daily delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate shipments, contributing to an excellent experience for customers and builders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and confirm delivery bookings through the Delivery Management System (DMS).
- Organize delivery runs and maintain communication with drivers.
- Provide customers with updates regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Address delivery-related issues promptly, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Manage stock placement within the warehouse according to safety standards.
- Assist with purchase order processing and general administrative tasks for the timber yard.
- Support the Store Manager and team with day-to-day store operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, dispatch, or trade settings is highly valued but not mandatory.
- Eagerness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication abilities and a customer service mindset.
- Good organizational skills and attentiveness to detail.
- Capability to effectively problem-solve and maintain composure under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with DMS or similar software is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid forklift license is mandatory.
Additional Information
- Position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Hourly pay rate of $35.00.
