Role Summary

The Hudson Trade Centre at Mitre 10 Gosford is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join the trade yard team in a combined sales and administrative capacity. This full-time, on-site role involves diverse tasks such as customer service, sales, administrative duties, order picking and packing, truck loading and unloading, and stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general administrative tasks to support trade yard operations
• Assist customers in the trade yard by processing orders and delivering prompt service
• Load and unload delivery trucks accurately and efficiently
• Manage stock control by verifying deliveries adhere to company standards
• Maintain health and safety standards for staff, customers, and contractors in the work area
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and timely with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Handle physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting
• Pick and prepare orders for outgoing deliveries
• Store stock items properly, primarily timber and related products
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Prioritize exceptional customer service and workplace safety at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver's license is essential
• Holding a current LF forklift license is highly regarded
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Previous knowledge of timber and hardware products is beneficial
• Capability to perform reliably both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace
• Proven skills in managing workload priorities to meet deadlines
• Physical fitness to be on feet for extended periods and perform manual labor
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing tasks promptly
• Availability to work Monday through Friday
