Discipline Support Officer | Ang Mo Kio

Role overview

This position supports the school’s student discipline function on a day-to-day basis. The officer works closely with the discipline team, staff, and teachers to help maintain order, follow up on student conduct issues, and assist with case management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the discipline team in managing student conduct on a daily basis.
• Supervise detention for students who arrive late after school, when required.
• Oversee students who have been suspended from class, as needed.
• Monitor and ensure proper completion of corrective work orders such as canteen or classroom cleaning.
• Patrol the school grounds every day to help maintain a disciplined and orderly environment.
• Take part in case management for students who have been identified as at risk.
• Carry out investigations related to case management and prepare the necessary reports.
• Conduct and follow up on spot checks of students’ appearance, including attire and hair, and record the outcomes appropriately.
• Attend case management meetings on an ad hoc basis.
• Handle any additional duties assigned by School Leaders or the Subject Head, Student Management.

Requirements

• Applicants must have passed N Level or an equivalent qualification.
• MOE registration is preferred; more information can be found through the MOE registration system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are needed.
• The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team player with initiative and the ability to work well with staff and teachers on student-related matters.
• Experience working in a school setting will be an advantage.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
