Role Overview
This leadership position involves guiding sustainability efforts at both program and corporate scales, shaping how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities translate into concrete, measurable results. The role collaborates extensively with diverse teams and stakeholders to enhance sustainability strategies, support implementation, and integrate advanced sustainable practices into major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee sustainability strategies across significant social infrastructure initiatives and corporate projects.
- Create and implement ESG targets, metrics, and reporting frameworks aligned with Vision 2030 goals.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability concepts throughout planning and execution phases.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainability compliance, innovation, and adoption of best practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 18 years of leadership experience in sustainability-focused roles within infrastructure or extensive development contexts, with demonstrated capability in embedding sustainability parameters into planning and delivery processes.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, and performance measurement methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Arabia's sustainability priorities and Vision 2030 objectives.
- Proven success managing relationships across government bodies, consultancy teams, and delivery partners.
- Valid professional certification such as LEED, Envision, GRI, ISSP, or equivalent.
