Job description
Role overview
This position is for a senior partnerships leader with a background rooted in life sciences rather than traditional sales. It suits someone who began in areas such as validation, quality, manufacturing, engineering, or clinical research and later moved into partnerships, alliances, channel sales, or business development. The right candidate will still feel closely connected to science while also enjoying commercial growth and helping organizations adopt modern ways of working.
The employer is an established global SaaS company investing heavily in its Strategic Partnerships organization worldwide. Recent leadership hires in North America and India have set the stage for this European appointment, which completes the first phase of a wider global expansion plan.
For over 20 years, the business has supported major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in modernizing validation, quality management, and manufacturing processes for therapies that improve patient outcomes. Its digital platform replaces paper-based workflows with intelligent solutions that help customers improve compliance, lower risk, speed up validation, and bring medicines to patients faster.
The company is now entering a new growth stage as AI capabilities are added across the platform. These enhancements are designed to automate repetitive tasks, improve decisions, and increase the value of validation and quality data. In this role, you will help strategic partners introduce those innovations to the life sciences sector at a time when digital transformation is accelerating.
You will report to the VP, Global Partner Strategy in the United States and collaborate with a small international leadership group that is responsible for defining how strategic partnerships operate across regions. While each leader owns a specific geography, the team works closely to align direction, exchange best practices, and create a consistent global partner model.
What you will do
Over the coming years, this role is expected to focus on four major priorities:
- Develop and deepen relationships with a select set of strategic partners across Europe, helping them use the latest product capabilities, AI roadmap, and joint go-to-market opportunities to build lasting executive-level engagement.
- Evaluate regional market conditions, identify where demand is expanding, and help shape the European partnership strategy, including where future investment should be directed for the strongest commercial return.
- Source, recruit, onboard, and enable new consulting, implementation, and technology partners to support long-term growth throughout Europe.
- Design and build a partner ecosystem that generates pipeline, supports customers effectively, and becomes a dependable contributor to recurring revenue growth.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have started their career in pharmaceutical or life sciences before moving into partnerships, alliances, channel sales, or business development. A minimum of five years of strategic partnership or alliance leadership experience is expected, along with exposure to enterprise SaaS products used in regulated industries.
This person should be comfortable both setting strategy and delivering execution, and should enjoy building durable relationships that translate into measurable business outcomes.
Compensation and work setup
- This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in Europe.
- The base salary is €140,000 to €150,000, with approximately 30% variable compensation on top.
- The role offers the chance to contribute to one of the organization’s most important global growth initiatives.
Candidate experience and fairness
- Each application is reviewed personally; automated AI screening is not used at any stage of résumé assessment.
- Candidates invited to an introductory discussion will receive a full role brief in advance, including the company background, opportunity details, reporting line, interview process, and expectations for success.
Equal opportunity statement
The organization values diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and ways of thinking. Applications are considered fairly and individually, and qualified candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to engage in conversation.
