Overview

LEGO Education is on a mission to inspire learning through curiosity-driven play. The Director of US Marketing will spearhead the growth strategy for LEGO Education's US segment, focusing on stimulating educators and decision-makers to enhance the learning impact via interactive, hands-on educational experiences nationwide.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the US marketing strategy for LEGO Education, emphasizing expanding presence in core classroom settings.
  • Translate insights from the US market, customer needs, and business priorities into a cohesive, integrated marketing approach that enhances brand awareness, generates demand, expands the sales pipeline, and supports revenue growth across the complete US product range.
  • Serve on the US and Global Marketing leadership teams to coordinate between US market demands and global marketing centers, ensuring alignment across brand, communications, web, and product marketing.
  • Manage and directly oversee US marketing activities including events, content creation, campaign execution, marketing operations, sales development representatives (SDRs), and account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing US marketing team, including outsourced SDR operations and partner agencies.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of US K-12 education market dynamics, customer purchase behaviors, and evolving trends.
  • Partner closely with US Sales leadership to refine lead quality, conversion rates, account advancement, and ensure marketing significantly contributes to revenue targets.
  • Implement and oversee US execution of global campaigns and product launches, ensuring local relevance and commercial effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Educational Impact, Brand, and Communications teams to create and amplify co-marketing initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and messaging goals.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all marketing-related policies, including investments, donations, sponsorships, gifts, hospitality, entertainment, and free-of-charge goods.

Candidate Profile

  • In-depth expertise in the US education market, especially K-12 districts and schools purchasing behaviors and educator adoption needs.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated marketing campaigns that unify brand building, demand generation, digital marketing, events, content, product marketing, and sales enablement to achieve quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Strong skills in turning market data, customer insights, and commercial objectives into actionable, impactful marketing plans.
  • Experience managing teams as well as external partners, particularly outsourced sales development and lead generation, with a commitment to quality and continuous progress.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across multiple functions such as Sales, Global Marketing, Product Marketing, Communications, and Brand.
  • Analytical mindset with a commercial focus, leveraging data and campaign results to optimize marketing investment and enhance impact.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is available for this role.
  • The position is based in the Boston HUB at 1001 Boylston Street with a hybrid working model: three days onsite and two days remote per week.
  • The salary range is approximately $169,031 to $253,547, calibrated based on experience, benchmarks, and other considerations. Full compensation details, including benefits, will be provided upon offer finalization.
