Job Summary
The Director will lead the Supply Chain Management Value Analysis department, focusing on optimizing quality and efficiency in Supply Chain Value Analysis processes and overall department operations. This role involves structuring and directing resources to effectively support the Harris Health System enterprise. Key responsibilities include analyzing system-wide supply chain procedures to identify opportunities for increasing efficiency and reducing costs while improving patient care. The Director will emphasize appropriate supply and service utilization through product standardization, pricing strategies, cost-saving initiatives, waste elimination, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, or healthcare-related disciplines is required; a Master's degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred.
- Registered Nurse or clinical degree holder with clinical licensure history is preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Value Analysis Professional (CVAP) from the Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already held.
- At least seven years of management-level experience including proficiency in supply chain management, project management, contract, and sourcing functions is required.
- Experience with spreadsheet applications is necessary.
- Background in value analysis, cost savings, utilization management, and procurement is advantageous.
- Healthcare supply chain experience is preferred.
- A minimum of five years in a managerial role managing multiple employees is required.
- Strong verbal communication skills including public speaking and report writing are essential.
- Proficiency with MS Word and personal computers is needed.
Job Attributes and Other Requirements
- Analytical skills are crucial.
- The work schedule is flexible with eligibility for telecommuting and entails travel between Harris Health locations and occasionally other county sites.
- Verbal proficiency in medical terminology is required.
- Occasional out-of-town travel is expected upon approval.
