Overview
Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge is hiring a strategic and dynamic Director of Sales to lead all revenue-generating efforts at a premier private club operating year-round. This leadership position also supports sales initiatives for the Latrobe Country Club in Pennsylvania. The role encompasses oversight of diverse revenue streams including group, leisure, corporate, and member-related sales, coupled with the responsibility of crafting integrated marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, stimulate demand, and maximize profit. In collaboration with property leadership, the director will drive measurable revenue growth, enlarge market share, and build sustainable client partnerships across both venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating and implementing holistic sales and marketing strategies that are tightly aligned with organizational goals.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning activities including short-term outlooks at 30, 60, 90, and 120 days.
- Overseeing revenue performance management across lodging, group events, catering, and food & beverage operations.
- Collaborating on pricing strategy, rate setting, and revenue optimization with leadership.
- Performing market analysis and monitoring competitor data and internal metrics to pivot approaches for optimal results.
- Managing all sales operations covering members, corporate clients, groups, leisure, and transient markets.
- Setting and tracking sales targets, KPIs, and standards for the sales teams; ensuring consistent sales execution across properties.
- Maintaining active relationships with key accounts, prospects, and VIP clients at both locations to expand new business and strengthen lasting client ties.
- Partnering with the Communications and Brand teams to develop and roll out integrated marketing campaigns, covering digital, email, public relations, partnerships, and messaging to uphold brand consistency.
- Supervising online presence, website content, OTA strategy, and reputation management for the lodge.
- Identifying innovative marketing channels to broaden demand and brand awareness.
- Providing leadership and training to the reservation team, fostering a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and performance.
- Aligning sales with reservations, front office, and F&B functions to ensure smooth execution of booked business.
- Managing CRM systems and sales reporting tools to monitor pipeline, conversion, and sales activities with monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Ensuring timely and precise tracking of forecasts, budgets, and sales metrics as well as quality in lead responses, contract execution, and proposals.
- Building and sustaining partnerships with key clients, corporate accounts, community groups, and industry organizations, representing the properties at industry events.
- Overseeing coordination between sales and operations teams for effective event management and client experience from initial contact to post-event follow-up.
- Collaborating with food & beverage and events departments on banquet planning accuracy and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required hospitality experience with at least 5 years in ascending sales, marketing, or revenue leadership roles preferably spanning multiple properties.
- Proven track record in creating and implementing successful sales and marketing plans.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and demand generation techniques.
- Consistent achievement of revenue growth goals and financial targets.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex data to inform strategy adjustments.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and organizational effectiveness.
- Capability to manage simultaneous priorities over two distinct properties.
