About the Role
The Director of Risk for the Development Management Office (DMO) is responsible for analyzing data across multiple Subdistricts and Projects within one of Qiddiya's largest Business Units, delivering timely and relevant assurance and compliance reports to support senior leadership. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Risk, this role requires substantial experience managing risk in large-scale programs or projects. The Director is expected to communicate critical information clearly with executives, peers, and team members, ensuring data is provided on schedule to fulfill the Senior Director's requirements.
Key Responsibilities

- Foster a strong risk-aware environment among integrated Development and Delivery teams within the Division.
- Participate in and implement risk management policies, controls, and procedures at the Subdistrict level.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Business Unit’s risk management cycle through identification, evaluation, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting based on input from Project/Subdistrict levels.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on qualitative and quantitative risk management processes at the Subdistrict level.
- Support embedding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to risk performance into reporting platforms and ensure their effective utilization across the Business Unit.
- Engage regularly with all risk resources to support their professional growth.
- Provide consultative guidance as needed to support risk-informed decision-making.
- Assist with compliance audits by coordinating with internal and external auditors.
- Collaborate closely with functional leads and project stakeholders to align risk activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; risk management or a related discipline preferred alongside engineering or construction management qualifications.
- At least 15 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles managing Development and Delivery portfolios.
- Proficiency with standard office IT applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet research.
- Advanced experience with Risk Management software such as ARM, Safran Risk, or Risk Hive.
- Strong organizational, time management, and resourcefulness skills with flexibility and excellent communication abilities.
- Skilled in preparing portfolio- and program-level risk reports.
- Competent at prioritizing and coordinating activities among a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills adaptable to a multicultural environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills demonstrating influence across organizational levels.
- Deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative risk management methodologies.
- Experience working within PMO or PMC structures in risk leadership roles is highly desirable.
- Membership in a professional risk association such as IRM or RMIA is preferred.
