Director of Quality Assurance

Overview

We seek a seasoned Director of Quality Assurance to spearhead the organization's quality strategy and management programs while driving continuous improvement efforts. This key leadership position will be responsible for implementing enterprise-wide quality standards to boost operational excellence, refine company processes, and maintain consistent quality across all products, services, and company functions.

Key Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies that align with the company’s objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Oversee quality management systems and assure smooth operations of ongoing quality and improvement projects.
• Create governance frameworks, policy guidelines, standard procedures, and performance benchmarks to guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Work collaboratively with departments such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure quality initiatives support business aims.
• Maintain and evolve quality management tools, operational protocols, and key performance measurement systems.
• Evaluate quality indicators, operational datasets, customer satisfaction feedback, and workflow efficiency to uncover areas for enhancement.
• Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce variability, and strengthen overall organizational performance.
• Coordinate quality audits, internal reviews, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and present strategic insights to executive leadership regularly.
• Develop and mentor quality assurance managers and staff, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous development.
• Administer department budgets, resource allocation, workforce planning, and long-term quality initiatives.
• Promote enterprise-wide awareness of quality standards and foster interdepartmental cooperation to achieve operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience including leadership in quality assurance, quality management, operations, or process improvement.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise-level quality assurance functions and implement effective quality management systems.
• Expertise in quality assurance methodologies, process optimization, operational performance, and quality systems management.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating at executive leadership level.
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Competent in quality metrics management, operational reporting, budgeting, and business performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with quality management software, business intelligence tools, enterprise systems, and collaboration platforms.
• Capability to juggle multiple strategic initiatives while upholding top-tier quality standards.

Preferred Credentials

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality Management, or closely related field is advantageous.
• Certifications such as CMQ/OE, CQE, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalents are highly desirable.
• Background in leading quality assurance in enterprise, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, or similarly complex sectors.
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement frameworks, operational excellence, quality auditing, and performance metrics management.
• Experience managing remote or geographically dispersed quality assurance teams.
